"One of the drivers of the [Ottoman] empire’s economy from Selim’s day through to the early 18th century was the control of the global coffee trade. In fact, Selim’s military encountered the plant with bright red berries during its incursion into Yemen.
The Ottomans began to brew this berry, and with it created institutions devoted solely to drinking coffee: We (and Starbucks owner Howard Schultz) have Selim to thank for the coffeehouse."
- The Washington Post, "The Ottoman sultan who changed America - America, Protestantism and coffee all have a Muslim history"

It is a delicious Turkish/Arabic Coffee and it is one of the best brands that I have ordered so far, as I drink Turkish coffee daily after meals. In addition; the lovely tin container is a bonus and I will keep using it for my coffee. But this coffee is not like instant coffee and it needs to be done carefully and follow the instructions provided on the box.. product description then you will have a perfect small cup of coffee ( Espresso size cups). carob , mastic gum and terebinth and chocolate is best combination with turkish coffee , I recommend this product, it worth every penny.
If you like Turkish coffee you must try this one. For me, one of best if not the best coffee for making it Turkish style.
The coffee I received was produced in February 2019 in New York It is not bitter and grind is perfect, silky smooth.
Everyone makes coffee a bit different. I boil 12 oz. of water (Poland Spring) in a dedicated coffee pot (cezve or also called ibrik). If you can don't use sugar at all. I put 1/2 tea spoon on 12 oz. of water. Let the water come to a boil and lower the heat. Take the cezve of the heat and put in 2 - 3 heaping teaspoons of coffee and mix it in. Put it back on low heat and watch it rise (do not take your eyes of it), take it of heat and wait few seconds for coffee to settle down. Put it back on low heat and repeat process total of three times. Your coffee is ready!
Serve coffee in small cups. Do not drink coffee right away. Wait of it to settle. Turkish coffee is a social event. Do it with friends and sip it slowly. Do not stir the coffee and leave the little bit of mud on the bottom of the cup. Enjoy! This dibek coffee is very smooth i love it
